With each step of the Story Spine, your lantern grows brighter.
This is a guided tool to help you build a clear story using the Story Spine framework.
To begin, you’ll need to LOG IN TO OUR SITE that is located on the top right of the menu.
How It Works
The Story Spine breaks storytelling into a simple sequence of prompts. You’ll move through each section step by step.
Each answer you provide builds your story in a structured way.
You don’t need to prepare anything in advance. Just respond to each prompt as clearly and honestly as you can.
Lantern Progress Indicator
As you complete each section of the Story Spine, a lantern indicator will gradually light up.
This is a visual way to show your progress:

Early sections: lantern is dim

Midway: lantern becomes partially lit

Completed story: lantern is fully lit
The purpose is to give you a simple sense of progress as you move through the tool.
Coaching Prompts
Throughout the process, you will see optional coaching prompts.
These are short guidance questions designed to help you:
